This study aimed to develop and validate a tool to assess Treatment Regimen/Disease-Specific Fatigue (TRDF) in older adults with multimorbidity. By identifying this condition and enabling personalized interventions, we hope to improve quality of life and advance public health strategies.

HIV Vaccine Study

This study aims to boost HIV vaccine literacy and confidence among African Americans in North Carolina through innovative interventions, including crowdsourced ideas and deep learning animations. Participants will engage in experiments to help shape tailored messages, tested through a randomized trial to improve vaccination intentions and outcomes.

CREATE Open Call & Designathon

This initiative empowers African American communities in North Carolina to lead COVID-19 prevention efforts through crowdsourced ideas and AI-driven videos. It includes training Community-led Rapid Response Teams (CRRT) for future public health challenges, exploring the feasibility of using lay health advisors for contact tracing and case investigation.

Sexual Health Promotion (SHP)

This study used participatory research to engage youth and community leaders in developing a model to promote sexual health among African American youth in rural North Carolina. Through interviews, discussions, and surveys with community leaders and adolescents, the study identified key factors for creating effective, multi-level health interventions. The findings aim to advance health equity and inform whole-person health initiatives for this population.

The Pop-Up Shop Study

Our study aimed to increase self-testing for COVID-19, HIV, and diabetes among African Americans in rural North Carolina through innovative "Pop-Up Shops" and financial incentives. By meeting people where they are, we sought to make testing accessible, engaging, and effective in improving community health outcomes.
